The diet of African wild dogs, lions and spotted hyenas was studied in the woodland savannah of Faro National Park and surrounding hunting zones in northern Cameroon during the dry season. Faecal analysis revealed that the diet of the three large carnivores overlaps considerably. Frequencies of prey remains of large and medium-sized antelopes were highest, with Buffon’s kob being by far the most common prey species. Carnivores seem to consume most abundant prey species.
