Lower Miocene Libyan Giraffe (Zarafa zelteni = Canthumeryx sirtensis) fossils were known from Al-Hula Lake, North of Palestine, discovered while drying the lake; and from Tel Rakhma (Yeruham) in the Northern Al-Naqab (Negev) Desert, South of Palestine.
